A special souvenir sheet celebrating the 65th anniversary of the "Marianne à la nef" stamp will be issued at Paris Philex 2024.
Originally issued in 1959, this is the 1st Marianne stamp of the Fifth Republic and one of the few Marianne stamps, and the 1st, printed in 2 colors.

General de Gaulle was elected President of the Fifth Republic on January 8, 1959. As the new Republic needed to renew its symbols, Bernard Cornut-Gentille, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, was asked to issue a mass-market stamp as quickly as possible.
The painter André Regagnon produced his only postage stamp. Marianne, a full-length effigy of the Republic, appears on the prow of a ship representing the State. Wearing a Phrygian cap, she looks far into the future. The sun rises on the horizon, the south wind swells the sail.
The stamp was letterpress printed in 2 colors.

Un bloc spécial célébrant les 65 ans du timbre « Marianne à la nef » sera émis sur le salon Paris Philex 2024. 
Émis initialement en 1959, ce timbre est le 1er timbre Marianne de la Ve République et l'un des rares timbres Marianne, et le 1er, imprimés en 2 couleurs.

Le général de Gaulle est élu président de la Ve République le 8 janvier 1959. La nouvelle République devant alors renouveler ses symboles, le ministre des PTT, Bernard Cornut-Gentille, est chargé d'émettre un timbre-poste de grande consommation le plus rapidement possible.
Le peintre André Regagnon réalisera là son unique timbre-poste. Marianne, effigie d'une République en pied, y figure à la proue d’un navire représentant l’État. Coiffée d’un bonnet phrygien, elle regarde au loin vers l’avenir. Le soleil se lève à l’horizon, le vent du Sud gonfle la voile. 
Le timbre fut imprimé en typographie et en 2 couleurs
