Recent years have seen a marked
increase in the number of animals
abandoned on our territory,
particularly during the summer months.
The summer of 2023 was particularly
particularly worrying, setting a sad record
with 11,564 cats and 4,054 dogs
cruelly abandoned by their

What's more, in 2023, the Société Protectrice
had to take in almost
nearly 45,000 animals, while
