To mark the 150th anniversary of the postcard in France, La Poste is reissuing 10 cards illustrating the golden age of the postcard (i.e. up to the 1920s) with a stamp on the reverse that was in use at the time of their first issue, making them ready to mail and travel as pre-stamped cards at the international rate.

Typical of the Belle Époque, these cards with a mechanism (pull-tab, fold-out or simple folded flap) modified the image by revealing an additional, often humorous, view. It was also the possibility of revealing several views of the same city in an accordion fold, for example, or multiple messages thanks to a pull-tab or optical effect. Here, the slit at the top of the box is used to slide in a small folded piece of paper and close it with a collage.

Dans le cadre des 150 ans de la carte postale en France, La Poste réédite 10 cartes illustrant l'âge d'or de la carte postale (soit jusqu'aux années 20) revêtues au verso d'un timbre en usage à l'époque de leur première édition, devenant ainsi des cartes pré-timbrées au tarif international prêtes à poster et à voyager.

Typiques de la Belle Époque, ces cartes avec mécanisme (tirette, dépliant ou simple volet plié) modifient l’image en découvrant une vision supplémentaire, souvent pleine d’humour. C’était aussi la possibilité de dévoiler plusieurs vues d’une même ville dans un pliage en accordéon par exemple ou des messages multiples  grâce à une tirette ou par effet d’optique. Ici la fente pratiquée en haut de la boîte permet de glisser un petit papier plié et d’en fermer l’accès par un collage.
